Eligibility

The CII EHS Excellence Awards invite participation from Indian industries across sectors that demonstrate a strong commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) excellence.

Location

Open to organisations located anywhere in India.

Industry Sector

Independent businesses, manufacturing units, or divisions from both manufacturing and service sectors operating in India for a minimum of two years are eligible. Organisations from construction, infrastructure, and utilities sectors, including projects in progress for six months or more, are also encouraged to apply.

Previous Participation

Organisations that have previously participated in the CII EHS Excellence Awards are welcome to reapply.

Conflict of Interest

Organisations represented by members of the Award Committee are eligible to apply. To ensure transparency and fairness, the respective committee member will not be involved in the Winner Selection Process.

Special Recognition

CII-EHS Spotlight Awards

Recognising exceptional projects and individuals who have created measurable and replicable impact in EHS.

CII-EHS Project Excellence Awards

Purpose: Recognizes specific projects demonstrating innovation, impact, replicable and measurable results in EHS management.
Eligibility: Projects undertaken by organizations with demonstrable EHS impact.
Recognition: Best projects recognized in each relevant category.
Qualification Threshold: Organizations must achieve a minimum assessment rating of 85% in the evaluation process to qualify for the EHS Project Excellence Awards.

                    CII-EHS Leadership Awards
                    Purpose: Recognises senior leaders who have driven significant, measurable improvements in EHS performance, culture, and strategic integration across their organisations.
Eligibility: Open to senior leaders (CXOs, Heads of EHS, Plant Heads, or equivalent) from participating organisations.
Recognition: The winning leader will be honoured at the Awards Ceremony and featured in CII communications.

                

CII-EHS Women Leaders / Women in EHS Awards

Purpose: Celebrates women professionals who have delivered outstanding contributions to EHS through leadership, innovation, and measurable impact.
Eligibility: Open to women Leaders and EHS professionals from any organisational level who have demonstrable achievements in EHS initiatives.
Recognition: The winning leader will be honoured at the Awards Ceremony and featured in CII communications.

Level-1

Virtual presentations to juries for shortlisting

Level-2

Presentations to the Award Committee at the Award Ceremony for final selection
